this hope does not disappoint...

Romans 5:5 says, "Now HOPE does not dissapoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. "

How often have we been disappointed when certain things we had our hope set on didn't come to pass?
How many people are in something, where the situation looks hopeless?
It is true, situations can be hopeless...
Opportunities or jobs can be hopeless....
and whenever hope is set upon someTHING, Disappointment is a possibility.

But there is a way to live, where disappointment will NEVER occur.

It is by setting our hope on Jesus.

I knew of someone who had applied for an awesome job opportunity, working for a ministry. His hope was set on this job.

Time passed on, and excitement was building for this job.

He was almost sure he got the job. He then got a call that informed him that someone else had been hired.

His hope had been shut down and he was disappointed.

There's an old hymn that comes up in my heart when I think of this situation.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His wonderful face
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
in the light of His Glory and Grace

We turn our eyes upon Hope's face.

and it doesn't disappoint.

1 Peter 1:13 says, "Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ"

When our hope is Jesus, and not the arm or doings of man, we will NEVER be disappointed. He has never failed us. No, not once. Not ever.

Sure, times will come in life where things will not go in a way that we thought they would...but when that happens, we realize.. hope is not this job...hope is not this opportunity....
My hope is Jesus...and nothing else. He'll never let you down and will bring you into the BEST He has for you. His best is always in your future.

It is possible and the plan of God for you, to live a life free of disappointment.

It's just in complete TRUST and FAITH in His Faithfulness....He is our hope.

What a victorious life!

love.

Nice, it is very true, anything or anybody other than Jesus will fail us one way or another...but Jesus never fails! <3 thanks Jenny!

How awesome!! The Lord has been showing me the same things!!! ;D Doesn't matter where you are, the Spirit is the same! The Lord's also been showing me how I had been in love with His PROMISES, and not the Promissor!! What correction that's led to a complete change in my life!! For the first time it's like I'm finally understanding how to love HIM more than the Promises, because yeah, when you put all that hope into the the PROMISE and not HIM, it becomes and idol and is bound to fall!! Man, God is sooo good and so revealing to us if we LET Him!! ;D

My hope is YOU (as in Jesus, not Jenny :o) If we can look at it in the way you mentioned, we would be grateful for His guidance in all that we do. Because if things don't go OUR way, then it is obvious that it is not in line with HIS way.

Our mind is so minute and small compared to the King of Kings, so HE always see something better for us and wants us to go in that direction. The BLESSING is our source. Not man. Not a job. Not an opportunity.

Keith Moore says: You should never be led by an opportunity, or money, or a good idea. We are only to be led by THE SPIRIT OF GOD.

Bible HOPE never fails. FAITH.HOPE.LOVE - they are all intertwined and connected to each other. One can't work without the other.

Beautiful as always, Jenny!

And as always,
love.love.
